SUBMISSIONS MUST ALSO INCLUDE:
- A copy of the 501 (c)(3) form confirming nonprofit status
for all American applicants, or the equivalent document for
French applicants (for American partners only): if the project
is operated under the auspices of a fiscal sponsor, applications
must include both the sponsor’s IRS determination letter
and written confirmation of the fiscal sponsorship agreement.
- Projects should incorporate short-term objectives and outcomes
(3 year goals) to allow for monitoring and evaluation.
The Fund allocates annual grants, but as 3-year projects are
encouraged, a grantee may receive consecutive annual grants
subject to annual review.
The amount FACE funding cannot exceed one-third of the total
yearly budget for the project.
The partner institutions are expected to match FACE’s
support with additional funding (i.e., if FACE grants $30,000
to a project as 30% of total yearly cost, the partner institutions
must commit to finding the remaining $60,000 for use solely
for the teaching and research activities described in their
proposal. Matching funds may include “in kind”
and “in cash” contributions.
All applicants are asked to prepare their documents in English,
the working language of the Fund and its Grant Review Committee.
Incomplete applications will not be considered under any circumstances.
Do not stray from the standardized summaries and budget presentations
in the two downloadable documents (lien).
FACE and the Fund cannot be held responsible for any damage
to or loss of documents or materials submitted with the application.
Materials submitted with the entry form will not be returned.
