and Criteria for Applicants
- The program is open to all U.S. and French non-profit presenting
institutions as applicants.
- The institution must be a presenter, such as a theatre
or festival, with a clear financial commitment towards the
project (individual performer or company).
- Application from individual artists, even represented by
an operating foundation, will not be accepted.
U.S. non-profit presenting institutions
can apply for a project with French choreographers/performers
in the US (presentation of a French dance production, residency
of the French choreographer/performer).
- the artist should be appearing in the US for the first time
or should be showing new or rarely seen work in the US
- the artist may be an emerging artist or may already be more
established in his or her career, as long as the project is
original and innovative
- the U.S. institution must bring significant support
French non-profit institutions can apply
for a project with a U.S. choreographer/performer in France
(presentation of an U.S. dance production, residency of the
choreographer/performer)
- the artist should be appearing in France for the first time

- the French institution must bring significant support
note: the artist may be of a nationality other than American
or French but must have at least five years of resident status.
