"The artiest entry in the ever growing torture-movie genre, this playfully wicked French thriller from twentysomething provocateur Gela Babluani blasts its way into your brainpan with the help of black-and-white widescreen cinematography whose striking but smooth textures (better) suit the upwardly mobile auteur".
Rob Nelson, Village Voice.

Sebastien, a clean-faced twenty-year-old Eastern European immigrant, takes a job repairing the roof of a dilapidated home to support his family. The owners of the home are a drug-addicted couple drifting through life and waiting for luck to change in their favor. They anxiously await the arrival of a letter that promises to provide an opportunity to get rich quickly. However, by the time the letter arrives, the man in the couple has died from a drug overdose. Sebastien snatches the letter and fills the shoes of his former employer with his own ambitions of an easy road to wealth. The letter, containing train tickets and instructions, leads Sebastien on a nail biting thrill-ride which ultimately takes him to a secluded mansion in the middle of the woods. Sebastien quickly realizes that there is no such thing as easy money. As he spins the barrel of a gun, Sebastien tests his luck in a deadly game of Russian Roulette for a suitcase full of cash; winner takes all.
