Lucie and Pierre, brother and sister in their 20s, share
an intimate relationship with each other and their group of
friends. Pierre, unstable and narcissistic, is the leader
of the group. They have youth and beauty on their side, and
it seems that nothing can resist them. One day Pierre is found
savagely murdered. As the police investigation drags on, Lucie,
aided by her friends, decides to find out who killed her brother.
They discover that Pierre used his youthful body to prostitute
himself in parties with corrupted members of the high society.
As the plot thickens, multifaceted cross-hatched dependencies
and humiliations come to light. The shocking and unanti- cipated
ending of the movie prompts as many questions as it answers
about how sexuality can both inspire and defeat us. The film
was based on a true story. The imagination of the two filmmakers
was provoked by the fact that the protagonists had never explained
the reasons of their act. In projecting a real event into
fiction, Jean-Marc Barr and Pascal Arnold wanted to explore
how adolescents could end up in such extreme situations. According
to them, today's young adults can carry out crimes and a presumed
unexplainable revolt can give access to the intimate sphere
of their personality.
