“Bonnell made a solid and endearing film, where time stops to leave room for each one of the characters to mature and grow at their own rhythm.”
Thierry Chèze, Studio Magazine

Julien and his sister Emma lost their mother a year ago. They still live with their father Gilles in the house where they grew up in the Beauce region. They all live with the pain of their mother’s death, but they are incapable of talking to each other about it. Set in a small town where most people have left for their summer holiday, Julien roams aimlessly and falls in love with a young saleswoman Olga whom he spots in a bookstore. He unsuccessfully tries to get her attention until he finds out she is married and has a child. His childhood friend Alice is trying to get over a painful and abusive relationship. She and Julien soon find out that they have deep feelings for each other. In this first feature film, Jérôme Bonnell was able to create his own personal universe, fresh and full of tenderness.
