The fund was created to respond to the ever-increasing
desire on the part of both French and American not-for-profit
institutions to present work by artists from each other's
countries. It was founded in 1994 by the Cultural
Services of the French Embassy, CulturesFrance
and the DAP
(Délégation aux Arts Plastiques). PROJECT
